Featured Streetlight/ Photocell Power Taps
Street light power taps are miniature and compact devices that allow for the use of electricity from street light poles in powering different ancillary equipment. They are installed between the photocontrol (photocell) device and the luminaire, allowing for normal ON/OFF and dimming control to happen uninterrupted.
Some key aspects to look at when selecting a suitable unit are:
- number of pins (either 3 or 7 pin)
- power output cable length and size
- operational voltages (both input and output)
- rated operating power
- nature of cable termination (bare wire/ pigtail, NEMA receptacles etc.)
